DANIEL SENISE:
NOT EVERYTHING HAS TO BE ABOUT SOMETHING
72 min. | Portuguese | Brazil, 2022
With a career spanning more than 40 years, painter Daniel Senise is among the most important contemporary Brazilian artists. Through an intimate interaction with Senise, whether in the setting up of her exhibitions, in conversations with curators and friends and in the moments of solitude of creation, Not Everything Has To Be About Something reveals what mobilizes his ideas and poetic force. The film is not a biography of the artist, but an excerpt from his production, in a phase where he tries out new supports that overflow his painting work.
